Large rooms a little dated. Real highlight was the included breakfast. In a proper dining room with a tremendous range of constantly replaced items. While listed as continental anyone who complained would need to seriously consider their daily food intake volumes. Parking near rooms Opposite the theatre complex. Shopping nearby. Pool at complex not heated. Friendly service.

I stayed at the Matador Motel with my parents (both in their 80s) - the room was clean and well appointed. We were so surprised to also be told that included in their very reasonable price was a beautiful continental breakfast with many fresh options. The Matador should be very proud of their motel, staff and facilities. I would recommend staying here to anyone! Thank you to the Matador.

Great little motel, lovely clean rooms & friendly staff 😄

We stayed in room 6 on the ground floor. Very comfortable room with a queen bed and single bed, microwave, flat screen TV, kettle, toaster, shower and toilet. As The Matador Motel is located right next door Princes Highway and Foster Street, there is a lot of traffic so be prepared for periods of loud noise. Continental breakfast is also included in the dining hall next to reception. Very conveniently located near The Wedge, Gippsland Art Gallery, Port of eand Raymond Street.

Well pleased with our overnight at the Matador. Nice spacious upstairs room. All the ammenities in good order & the kitchen staff kindly let us put our ice blocks in their freezer. Close to town an a nice morning walk around the lake just down the road. Plus a decent FOC breakkie. Highly recommended

Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast and super friendly/helpful staff (even when I got them out of bed to let me back into my room having forgotten my key!)
